In the days following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, individuals and organizations stepped up to raise awareness and raise much-needed funds to help the two million refugees fleeing the violence. In the art world, auction houses and galleries are announcing fundraisers, while institutions are distancing themselves from the Russian oligarchs.
Online, a slew of print fundraisers are popping up in an effort to raise funds and remind people of the beauty of the country now plagued by violence. Below, check out our ongoing list of print fundraisers.
WHO: have a butcher and Hempstead May and May Print are promoting a charity sale featuring photographs by artists including Alec Soth, Jamie Hawkesworth and Jack Davidson for £50 ($66.50) each. Prints are unsigned and printed on archival fine art paper at 10 inches by eight inches, with profits going to the British Red Cross crisis appeal in Ukraine.

WHO: Fast forward: women in photoslocated at the University of Creative Arts in the UK organizes a group of women photographers from Ukraine to sell limited edition prints to help raise funds for emergency organizations. The minimum donation for each draw is £50 ($65.50) and bidders are asked to contact the organizers via Instagram direct message. With works by: Oksana Demianec @oxandem; Daria Kuzmina @_marilyn_marlene; Maria Kazvan @mariakazvan; Daria Bedernichek @Polyn911; Nalina Vaine @nata.theatre, and others.

WHO: Art4Ukraine supported by printing space, a carbon-neutral photo and art printing organization based in London. The project aims to raise funds to support refugees from Ukraine as they are displaced and in need of food, shelter and medical assistance. Each A4 archival photo print is available for £100 ($131) including postage worldwide, and profits will be split between choose love and Child of war.
When: Until Wednesday March 16, 2022 at 10 p.m.
WHO: Neu workshop, a Munich community and non-profit multi-purpose project space is partnering with publishing company JETZT to launch a limited edition print to help those affected by war in Ukraine. All proceeds (purchased via PayPal) will be distributed among charities Children’s voices; Vostok-SOS, an organization that helps victims of military aggression; and humanitarian aid service Libéréco. Each print is available for €50 ($55).

WHO: his cliquethe curated art platform founded by former Paddle8 CEO Izabela Depczyk is hosting Artists for Ukraine, a sale featuring works by artists including Cindy Sherman, Laurie Simmons, Marilyn Minter, Austyn Weiner and Katherine Bradford, of which 100% of the profits benefit the Children’s voices foundation.

Six photos by artists Ruth Baldry, Karabo Mooki, Hao Nguyen, Eva Watkins, Sara Meinz, Alex Ingram and Allie and Jen are available in a limited edition (20 prints per image), each printed on eight-inch by 10-inch archival paper in inches, priced at £50 ($56.50).
